TETRA Systems
TETRA is an open standard where the focus is on meeting the critical communications needs of public safety and security agencies and an increasingly wide range of other market sectors. The technology has been standardised by ETSI (The European Telecommunications Standards Institute).
As with GSM and other mobile networks, the radio infrastructure of TETRA is based on a cellular radio propagation technology.

Infrastructure:
SEPURA infrastructure for TETRA mobile radio networks delivers excellent coverage, security and reliability in a platform designed for efficient implementation and costeffective scalability. SEPURA is the only TETRA system that is fully 100% Ethernet /IP based.A secure and reliable network can be built with distributed switching, distributed intelligence, and complete fault-tolerant redundancy, offering lower network costs due to the use of commercially available off-the-shelf equipment.
SEPURA TETRA Base Stations can transmit up to 75 watts of output power, with triple diversity to enlarge coverage and reduce number of required base stations. Various solutions for installations are provided such as fixed, wall/tower mounted, deployable, and fully deployable.
SEPURA’s range of versatile apps saves time, money and effort by streamlining essential processes and a complete suite of control room applications includes dispatchers, automatic vehicle location (AVL), automatic person location (APL) and in-building tracking.
ETELM is a developer and manufacturer of TETRA Digital Trunked Radio Infrastructure. Founded in 1981 and based in Paris, France, it specializes in providing systems for Public Safety, Security Transportation, Oil & Gas and commercial sectors from small single site configuration to large multi-sitesystems.
As a member of the TETRA & Critical Communications Association (TCCA), the organization responsible of assuring the Interoperability between TETRA infrastructure equipment and terminals proposed by several different manufacturers, ETELM provides interoperability of radio terminals with different brands operating simultaneously on the same network following the standardized Interoperability [IOP] Test Procedure specified by TCCA.
ETELM is at the forefront of new technology and has a variation of the Netis B25 base station that includes full LTE core connectivity. This means that any Netis B25 base station may be upgraded by simple CPU change to fully integrate with LTE eNodeB technology. This allows the Netis B25 base station to be upgraded to the e-TBS which will connect directly to an Evolved Packet Core Network in the same way as any LTE eNodeB; thereby allowing TETRA and LTE subscribers to communicate seamlessly.
